Will of Stephen WRATHELL of Lancaster. Merchant 1 May 1811

I Stephen Wrathell of Lancaster in the County of Lancaster Coal Merchant do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give divise and bequeath unto my dear wife Ann all my goods chattels money ???? for money shares in the Lancaster Canal Navigation shares in boats stock and all other my real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever to and for her own use during the term of her natural life The paying thereout all my just debts, Funeral and Testamentary Expenses and on her death I give divise and bequeath the same unto my Son Charles and my Daughter Prescilla Ann in such shares and proportions manner and form as my said wife shall by any deed or investment in writing to be by her sealed and delivered in the presence of two or more credible witnesses or by her last Will and Testament in writing or any writing purporting to be her Will ???? or appoint and in default of such direction or appointment and as to such part or parts thereof whereof no complete disposition shall be made by my said wife as aforesaid I give divise and bequeath the same to and equally between my said Son and Daughter share and share alike as Tenants in Common and their respective Executors Administrators and assigns and I do hereby name and appoint my said wife to be Executrix of thia my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the first day of May in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven.
Signed sealed and published and declared by the said Stephen Wrathell the Testator in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto put our names as witnesses thereto.

On the tenth day of May in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirteen This Will was proved in common form and Ann Wrathell of Lancaster Widow the sole Executrix within named was sworn well and faithfully to execute and perform the same and so forth and that according to the best of her knowledge and belief the whole of the Personal Estate and Effects of which the said deceased died possessed within the Archdeaconry of Richmond in the Diocese of Chester did not I real value amount to the Sum of One thousand pounds before me
