The following record was contributed by Derek Wrathall in Jan. 2006:

Hampsthwaite: Baptisms
17 Apr 1831 Richard the son of Garth & Ann WRATHALL of Humberstone Bank

In Feb. 2006, Derek mentioned the following:
Regarding the Calverly records, including Hampsthwaite and Birstwith data, there is a second marriage, 9 Aug 1621, of John WRATHALL to Elinor SAWER which is not included on your page. I went through the Yorkshire Parish Register Society transcripts for Hampsthwaite, and other entries which may or may not be relevant were:- Incidentally, the entry for the marriage of Francis WRATHALL to Margrett DAY reads: Francis WRATHO (WRATHALL).
Also in Feb. 2006, in an effort to locate the ancestors of Richard WRATHALL (1885 - 1972) [see Wrathall Obituaries from The Keighley Herald and The Keighley News], Derek had these results:
I have been puzzling over the Richard Wrathall mystery, which is not helped by his birth not appearing in the GRO indexes, but looking at the Richards in the 1881 census it was not a very common Wrathall forename, there are only three. One of these is Richard Parker Wrathall, although the Parker bit is not given, of Robert William Wrathall's lineage. The other two, Richard Garth Wrathall, b. 1834 at Knaresborough, and Richard b. 1877 son of Thomas G. Wrathall b. abt. 1845 at Darley, are in villages about 6 miles apart on the edge of the North York Moors. From the GRO Indexes Thomas Garth's birth was registered at Pately Bridge in the 1st qtr of 1844. I suspect that Richard Garth and Thomas Garth were brothers. Now in the Hampsthwaite PRs there is the birth of Richard son of Garth Wrathall [see above] and in the GRO Indexes of marriages there is the marriage of Richard Garth Wrathall, registered in Wharfedale in the 1st qtr of 1910. This date fits well with the birth of the Richard under investigation in 1885 and I wonder if all these are part of a jigsaw which should fit together. You may recall that Charles Coulton Wrathall also was born at Darley, so there is a Wrathall strand in the area around Harrogate.

In Apr. 2006, Steve Gaunt and David Simpson's website concerning Calverley Parish Church Records: Baptisms 1841 - 1860 had the following data for the family of William and Ann WRATHALL of Headingley:
