These records are not yet complete, as there are Queensland references that are not available easily to the Geelong Records Center. I will follow up what I can, but individual records tend to cost $$$. It is interesting to note the migration of one of our Victoria families to N.S.W., record a birth, and then return. It is also instructive that the bulk of the N.S.W. records have quite different given names for the birth events, indicating perhaps the immigration of new family lines. Here is the list of New South Wales and Queensland records transcribed by Hamish, who sent a copy of the supporting microfiche document in Oct. 2001:As far as I can see from the fiche records, there was no Wrathall activity in either South Australia or West Australia. I have not tried the Territories or the A.C.T. yet.
It seems to me that this would be a rewarding project for someone who has the time. Print out the Australian record, and then try to build a descendency for the various families. It should highlight common given names and places, and may help the link backwards to common ancestors. Perhaps this should be given to the Wrathall Discussion Forum as a case study in both research and technique. I would be happy to help or moderate.
