THE LATE MR. R. J. WRATHALL

The funeral of Mr. Reginald John Wrathall took place at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Roby, on Monday. The service, which was choral, was conducted by the Rev. Canon Sylvester, and was attended by a large number of sympathising friends.
The mourners were:- Mrs. R.J. Wrathall (widow); Mr. and Mrs. H. Lonsdale Wrathall (parents); Lieut. L. E. Wrathall and Mr. L. G. Wrathall (brothers); Mrs. J. Christie Coull and Miss B. Wrathall (sisters); Lieut. J. Christie Coull and Dr. Woolley (brothers-in-law); Mrs. Woolley, Mrs. Delphin, and Mrs. H. Beecham (sisters-in-law), Miss Bellamy, Mr C. Rowed aand Mr. Moss. Others present included Mr. Ernest Corlett and Mr. Louis Nicholas.
A large number of very beautiful wreaths were sent, but the only one on the coffin was a very large cross from the widow. The others were from Mr. and Mrs. Wrathall, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. wrathall, Mr. Gordon Wrathall, Miss Wrathall, Mr. and Mrs. Coull, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Boston (two wreaths), Dr. and Mrs. Duke-Woolley, Mrs. Delphin, Mrs. Eardley-Beecham, Mrs. Vincent Eardley-Beecham, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis, Mr. Lionel T. Scott, Mr., Mrs. and Miss Bennett, Mrs. Craddock, Quarter-Master Stores (Inns of Court), Staff at “Ewanville”, Staff at “Hillcrest”, Mrs. Frank Trethaway, Mrs. Atkinson, Mr. and Mrs. Cousins, Mr and Mrs. and the Misses Walker, Miss Boston, the Office and Staff at Messrs. Wrathall and Co’s, Mr and Mrs. W. J. Little, Mr and Mrs. Frederick B. Gibson, Rev. and Mrs. Hartley, Mrs. Harry Beecham, Mr and Mrs. Williams and Mr. Worthington.
The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Messrs Sharples, the Exchange, St. Helens.

LATE SIR JOSEPH BEECHAM’S DAUGHTER WIDOWED

Mr. and Mrs. H. Lonsdale Wrathall, of “ Frenchwood”, Church-road, Huyton, have received information that their son, Mr. Reginald John Wrathall, died at Berkhamstead from pneumonia, following influenza on Wednesday morning, shortly after four o’clock.
The deceased, who belonged to the Inns of Court Officers Training Corps, was 27 years of age, and in March last year married Miss Amy Christiana Beecham, the youngest daughter of the late Sir Joseph Beecham.
The deceased was well known in Huyton, and his sudden and untimely death has been received with great regret. To the bereaved family the greatest sympathy will be extended.
