In the name of God Amen The tenth day of January Anno Dom 1690 I Elizabeth Wraythall of Threapland ?????? in Craven in the County of York infirme but of perfect memory praised be God for the same doe make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz First I commend and bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing through the meritorious death & passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to survive and obtain free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to be an inheritor of the Kingdom of heaven And as for my body to be buried in the Church Yard of Linton at the discretion of my Executor and Executrix hereafter named And as for my worldly effects wherewith God hath been graciously pleased to bless me I give and bequeath in manner and form following (Viz) First I give and bequeath unto Mr William Haworth of Brearton ten pounds Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Todd one bed two pannel chests one fether bed one mattress two long bolsters and two short bolsters two broad cloth blankits one yellow rug one coverlit one iron baking stone a pair of ?????? one bay? board one brass pan one smoothing iron one ?????? spit and one ?????? iron Item I give unto Elizabeth Kitchin Dinah Kitchin and Mary Kitchin daughters of Thomas Kitchin of Kreako each of them three pounds apeace Item I give unto Agnes Westwood of Kreako three pounds Item I give unto Mary Kitchin of Threapland three pounds Item I give unto Thomas Kitchin of Threapland two pounds Item I give unto Issabell Joanson of Hetton twenty shillings Item I give unto Jane Eaucolson? wife of Thomas Eaucolson? of Barliweeks three pounds Item I give unto Agnes Kitchin of Kreako two shillings Item I give unto Martin Wraythall of Grissington ten shillings Item I give unto John Ford one shilling six pence Item I give unto Mrs? Constantine of Coniston five shillings Item I give unto Henry Constantine sonn of Thomas Constantine of Coniston in Kettlewell dale two pounds Item I give unto ?????? Marshall and John Marshall son and daughter of William Marshall of Melmerby either of them ten shillings Item I give unto Barbara Lupton and Margaret Lupton of Grissington either of them one shilling Item I give unto Ann Tophan and Thomas Tophan of Linton either of them one shilling Item I give unto Agnes Tophan of Linton two shillings six pence Item I give unto Francis Wraythall two shillings six pence Item I give unto Charles Thomas and William Thomas of Kreako each of them two five shillings apeace Item I give unto Jone Kitchin of the Hull gap two shillings Item I give unto Dinah Joanson of Hetton twenty shillings Item I give unto John Tophan of Linton twenty shillings Item I give and bequeath the fifty pounds which I lent unto Thomas Howson of Kreako upon a mortgage of land or the same if the mortgage shall be forfeited unto the said Elizabeth Todd And it is my will and mind that the said Elizabeth Todd shall pay unto William Windle & Ralph Windle out of the fifty pounds or out of the same if it fall due either of them five pounds apeace All the remainder of my goods reall and personal whatsoever after my legacies & funeral expences be discharged I give and bequeath unto the said Nicholas Kitchin and Elizabeth Todd And I give to the poor two pence apeace for their dole and I make the said Nicholas Kitchin and Elizabeth Todd Executor and Executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making voyde all former wills by me heretofore made and declaring this to be my last will and testament In Witness whereof I have subscribed my hand and set my seal the day and year first above written Elizabeth Wraythall her marke sealed published and confirmed in the sight and presence of Thomas Mounteny? his marke William Seward? his marke John Tophan (followed by two lines in Latin)
