In the name of God Amen the eight day of Jannary in the Nineteenth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles the Second by the grace? Lord King of England Scotland France and Ireland and defender of the Faith & Kingdom? 1667: I William Wraythay of Thorpe nere Burnsall in Craven in the County of Yorke yeoman Infirme of body but of pfect mynde and memory (praysed be God for the same) Doe make and ordayne this my last will and testament I manner and forme following, Viz first I commend and comitt my saule into the hands of Almighty God my maker hopeing by the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ his Sonne and my Saviour and Redeemer to obtayne full pardon and Remission of all my Sinnes and to have fellowship with the Saints in Everlasting light and glory in the Kingdome of Heaven And my body to be interred & buried at or within the Church yard of Burnsall Aforesayd att the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And for my worldly Estate wherewith God hath beene graciously pleased to blesse me and to bestowe upon me I give and bequeath in manner and forme following: And first my will and mynde is and I give and bequeath unto John Wraythay my Eldest Sonne all my estate in land tenement and lease situate and being within Thorpe and Burnsall Aforesayd or the territories thereof together with all houses Edifices Barns buildings and Appurtenances whatsoever there unto or to any part or ????? there of belonging or Appurtayning And alsoe all my husbandry gears there unto belonging to have and to hold to him the sayd John Wrathay his heirs Executors Administrators & assignes from and Immediately after my death for ever And for all the tearme or tearmes of yeares by the deed or deeds thereof made And alsoe all deeds evidences and writeings which I have in my custody concerning the same or any part thereof Provided allwayes and it is my will and mynde that the sayd John Wrathay my sonne shall pay or charge to be payd to my sonne William Wraythay Tenn pounds of Lawful English money within six months next after my decease And alsoe my will and mynde is that the sayd John Wraythay shall pay to Elizabeth Wraythay my Daughter Eight pounds of Lawfull English money within twelve months next after my decease And alsoe my will and mynde is that the sayd John Wraythay my Sonne shall pay to Margaret Wraythay my Daughter the sume of Eight pounds of Lawfull English money within one yeare and one half after my decease Item my will and mynde is And I give and bequeath to Marmaduke Wraythay my sonne Eight pounds to be payd to him his heirs Executors or assignes by my Sonne John Wraythay his Executors Administrators or assignes within the space of two? yeares next after my decease as above sayd Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Wraythay my Sonne his heirs Executors or assignes Eight pounds of Lawfull English money to be payd by my Sonne John Wraythay his heirs or assignes within the space of two yeares and a half next after my decease as above sayd All which sumes of money above expressed I give and bequeath to my children above sayd as ther portion And my will and mynde is that my sonne John Wraythay shall give to each of them sufficient security for the pformance of the payments above sayd and all the tymes above sayd within one month next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto William Wraythay and Robert Wraythay my grandchildren Either of them one young sheep Item all the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable (not formerly bequeathed) and household stuffe whatsoever (my just? debts? funeral Expences & cost of this my will and what other Charges soever may arise aboute the same) I give and bequeath to my three children William Elizabeth and Margaret equally to be devided amongst them: Saving that I give to my sonne William twenty shillings wholly to himselfe out of the whole before this division? be made And lastly Revoking all other wills and testaments by me formerly made I doe make & ordayne my sayd Sonne William whole Executor of this my last will and testament In confirmation whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written William Wraythall his W W mark sealed? published & declared this to be the last will and testament of William Wraythall in the presence of Nicholas Blackburne William Wilson?
